The year 2026 introduces INTERLUDE - an invitation to pause, reflect, and reconnect with yourself.
Our muse and friend Clarence Haaster is a Paris-based model and mother. Here, she shares her thoughts on finding balance and staying grounded.
When are your personal interludes?
As a creative person, I love being in Paris. It’s like an open museum to me - people dressing up in the best ways. It’s quick and the pace is fast, but you can also take the time to relax and have a cup of coffee in the sun on a terrace. You just need to go out, and you feel refreshed by the architecture. And you can sit on a bench and see so many incredible things in Paris, I think.
We decided to buy our countryside house when we became parents for the second time. I think that was an escape from the city and from all the noise and the buzzing and the fast pace. That’s a really good contrast to this life in Paris. I’m sure even my heart rate goes down so much when I’m here on the weekends.
What I really love here are the sounds. It’s waking up and just opening the windows and getting to hear all the birds. You just slow everything down, andyou actually spend more time with the kids.
The most important thing to give to my kids is a strong relationship with nature.
It’s true life, it’s real life.
